Highest Quality Natural Clay That REALLY Works

The science behind why clay masks work is really cool.  Basically, clay is net negatively charged, which attracts many minerals to the surface of the clay particle. When mixed with water, you get a mineral rich clay paste.  Those charged good minerals swap with bad toxins and remove them from your skin with the clay while leaving minerals behind.

How do I mix the clay mask?

Our clay masks come in powder format, to apply the mask is super simple.  We put together full clay mask application instructions here.  If there’s any other questions, I put together 34 of the top clay mask questions.

For French Green Clay, Rhassoul and Kaolin, Simply mix an approx 1 tablespoon of clay with 1 tablespoon of water and add more water till you get the desired consistency.  It should be like a paste.

For best results of Bentonite, mix with apple cider vinegar.  I like to mix 1 tablespoon of Bentonite with 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of water.  Read full instructions for bentonite and apple cider vinegar here.

What skin type are clay masks for?

The clay masks in our face mask assortment pack are made for all skin types*.  However some clays work better for some skin types.

For example, Rhassoul clay is great for oily skin and helps with ongoing Sebum production (aka thats the oil) but all the clays have a strong absorption effect of oils.

French Green Clay is a smooth clay that has a tightening effect, so it’s effective for shrinking the appearance of pores.

Kaolin is the clay that is best for sensitive skin.  It’s perfectly normal to experience a redness for up to 30 minutes after a mask, with Kaolin you don’t get that.  Plus it provides an additional exfoliation.

Bentonite is a strong detox clay.  For those with sensitive skin, you won’t want to keep it on for more than 5-10 minutes.

*Clay masks are drying. So if you have dry skin, apply for half the suggested time to avoid over drying.

All clay’s should first be tested on a small test patch.  Here’s further instructions on how to use a dry clay face mask
